Step back in time and immerse yourself in the heart-pounding excitement of the historic D-Day landings at Castletown D-Day Centre on the Isle of Portland. Relive the incredible journey of thousands of American troops who, in 1944, set sail from this very dockyard to storm the beaches of Normandy.

Our authentic recreation showcases the bustling wartime atmosphere, with original WW2 artifacts, weapons, and vehicles that will transport you to the front lines of history. Marvel at the full-size replica Spitfire, stand in awe of the formidable Sherman tank, and experience the power of the Bofors 40mm gun.

But the adventure doesn't end there – we invite you to go beyond the exhibits. Don real WW2 uniforms, handle weapons, and climb aboard our meticulously restored vehicles. Get 'In The Mood' as our friendly and knowledgeable staff guide you through a fully immersive experience, recreating a wartime harbor scene right before your eyes.

Located in Castletown's historic Admiralty buildings, a stone's throw from the iconic Portland Castle, our center offers a unique opportunity to witness the bravery of the greatest generation. Join us for guided tank tours, interactive displays, and step inside the D-Day bunker to feel the pulse of history.

Castletown D-Day Centre is not just a museum; it's a living tribute to the heroes who departed from these shores, many sacrificing their lives to protect the freedom we hold dear. Don't miss this chance to honor their legacy and relive the extraordinary days of the Allied invasion. History comes alive at Castletown D-Day Centre – an unmissable experience for the young and old alike.
