Set in 1950s New York, The Alto Knights follows the power struggle between two infamous mob bosses, Vito Genovese and Frank Costello - both portrayed by Robert De Niro in a rare dual role, presenting a unique challenge in his legendary career. As Genovese makes a ruthless bid for control, Costello fights to maintain his influence, leading to betrayal, violence, and an assassination attempt that changes the Mafia underworld forever. Directed by Barry Levinson and written by Nicholas Pileggi, this gripping crime drama delves into the high-stakes world of organised crime, where loyalty is fleeting and power comes at a price.
